Ledig runs lean. This page lists every cookie and every bit of browser storage the site uses, and exactly what each one does.

Strictly necessary

These are always on — the site can’t work without them.

• ledig-consent (localStorage) — remembers your cookie-banner choice (accepted or rejected). Kept until you clear browser storage.
• Session cookies from Vercel — short-lived, used to deliver the site over HTTPS. Expire when you close the browser.

Analytics — opt-in

If you clicked Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 so we can see anonymous traffic numbers (how many visitors, where they came from, which pages get read). This lets us tell whether the site is actually working before we invest further.

• _ga, _ga_* (cookies set by Google Analytics) — anonymous visitor and session identifiers. Retained by Google for up to 14 months.
• IP addresses are anonymised before storage (anonymize_ip: true).
• If you declined the banner, no Google Analytics code is loaded — the script simply never runs on your browser.

You can also opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which blocks GA across every site you visit.

What we don’t use

• Facebook Pixel or any ad-network tracking.
• Hotjar, FullStory, or session recording.
• Cross-site trackers or advertising cookies.

If we ever add a new third-party tool, we’ll update this page and ask for consent before anything is set.

Changing your mind

To change your choice, clear Ledig site data in your browser settings. The banner will reappear and you can choose again.
