Booking terms
Last updated · 2026
These booking terms apply when you press Book on a listing at ledigair.com/explore. They are in addition to the general terms of use.
Authorisation, not charge
When you place a booking, your card is authorised, not charged. We place a hold on your bank for the full booking total. The operator must confirm availability before any money moves. Until they confirm, the funds are not transferred — they are simply ring-fenced on your card.
Operator response window
Operators are notified the moment you book and are required to confirm or decline within a window that depends on how close we are to departure:
- More than 7 days before departure — 48 hours.
- Between 2 and 7 days before — 24 hours.
- Same day or next-day departures — 2 hours, capped to no more than half the time remaining before departure.
- Less than 2 hours before departure — 30 minutes or all remaining time, whichever is shorter.
If the operator does not confirm within their window, the authorisation is automatically released and you are never charged.
If the operator confirms
We capture the authorised amount and release the operator’s contact details to you. The operator is then responsible for flight-day logistics: meeting time, fixed-base operator (FBO) directions, paperwork, weight and balance. Ledig Air is not the carrier. The operator is the contracted air carrier and holds the AOC under which the flight is performed.
If the operator declines or times out
If the operator declines, or fails to respond within their window, we cancel the authorisation. You are never charged. The bank may take 1–2 business days to clear the hold from your statement — this is a bank timeline, not a Ledig Air or Stripe delay.
Cancellations after confirmation
Once an operator has confirmed and your card has been charged, the booking sits in a contractual relationship between you and the operator. Cancellation, change, and refund policies are the operator’s. Ledig Air will help mediate but is not the contracting party. We strongly recommend confirming the operator’s cancellation policy in writing before any time-sensitive arrangements (hotels, ground transport).
Pricing and fees
The price you see at checkout is the total you will be charged if the operator confirms. It includes the operator’s price, the Ledig Air platform fee (currently 0% for the operator’s first ten successful flights, then 4%), and the card processing fee. We do not charge any additional booking fees, currency conversion fees, or hidden surcharges. Receipts itemise every line.
Operator obligations
Operators listing on Ledig Air warrant that they hold a valid EASA (or equivalent) Air Operator Certificate, that they are legally permitted to perform the flight under the specified AOC, and that the listed aircraft is airworthy and insured to the levels required by their jurisdiction. Misrepresentation of AOC status is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.
Force majeure
Neither Ledig Air nor the operator is liable for delays or cancellations caused by weather, ATC, security incidents, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control. Where a flight is cancelled for force majeure, the operator’s standard rebooking and refund policy applies.
Disputes
If a dispute arises, contact us at hello@ledigair.com. We will mediate in good faith and, where appropriate, assist with Stripe chargebacks or partial refunds. Ledig Air is incorporated in Denmark; Danish law governs these terms. The Copenhagen City Court has exclusive jurisdiction unless EU consumer law gives you a stronger right of forum.
